Biography

Mr. Carmody practices in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, bad faith and premises liability. Prior to joining Carmody and Ging in 1998, he was a partner in the insurance defense firm of Weis & Weis. He earned his B.A. in political science from Allegheny College and his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law.

Sean is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the ACBA Civil Litigation Section, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Carmody is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Achieva and the Achieva Family Trust. These non-profit organizations provide support and services to people with disabilities and their families.
