Biography

Sean P. Walsh brings more than 19 years of criminal defense experience to Walsh & Lewis PLLC. He has worked in both the government and the private sector. Further, he has been a managing partner for several years as well as being actively engaged with numerous professional organizations.

Experience

Sean P. Walsh began his career in Lewiston, Idaho, where he practiced both family law and criminal defense. In 2007, he moved with his family to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where his law practice focused on criminal defense. In 2010, he started his own private practice where he continued to provide criminal defense litigation services. Soon thereafter, in 2011, the Federal Courts appointed Sean P. Walsh to the Criminal Justice Act Panel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. In 2015, the Idaho Supreme Court placed Sean P. Walsh on the Idaho Capital Defense Counsel Roster. Sean P. Walsh currently accepts all types of criminal defense cases.

Sean P. Walsh has served on the Board of Directors for the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is currently a lifetime member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The association has recognized him as 1 of the top 10 criminal defense attorneys under 40 in the State of Idaho.

Committed to Our Community

Throughout his career, Sean P. Walsh has also found ways to give back to his community. In 2014, he received the Denise O’Donnell Day Pro Bono Award from the Idaho State Bar. In 2016, he served on the Access to Justice Idaho 2016 Leadership Committee for the First Judicial District. From 2013 to 2016, He served as the attorney of record for the volunteer advocates of the North Idaho CASA program. In 2020, Governor Brad Little appointed Sean P. Walsh to serve on the Idaho State Public Defense Commission. Sean P. Walsh has served as President of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
