Biography

Shahnewaz Khan is a Senior Associate at the New York office of Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP. His practice focuses on premises liability, personal injury, and property damage claims. He represents a diverse range of clients, including property owners, contractors, and utility companies, from initial investigations through trial preparation.

Before joining WSHB, Shawn worked as a defense attorney in New York City, where he gained valuable experience in litigating personal injury cases. He also served as an attorney with the New York City Administration for Children’s Services, where he prosecuted cases of child abuse and neglect in Family Court. In this role, he acquired extensive courtroom experience, managed high-volume caseloads, and developed his litigation and advocacy skills in challenging and sensitive situations.

Shawn earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and holds a B.A. from CUNY Hunter College.

Outside of work, Shawn enjoys rooting for the New York Mets and Liverpool F.C. He also likes hiking, indoor rock climbing, reading, and exploring New York City.
