Shaima obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Bahrain in 2006. During University years, Shayma served as the president of the Law Association at UOB, and participated in events and scientific activities with the aim of solving academic difficulties.

Shaima has gained experience with AbdulRahman Al-Shomeli Attorneys at Law and Legal Consultants, and has received Honour Certificates from various Bahraini social organizations, like Al-Amaal Al-Watani Society, Meethaq Al-Amaal Al-Watani Society and International Intellectual Property Organization etc.
