Biography

Shane Farrell began working for MDASR, LLP in 2008 and has been with the firm for the past 12 years.

He attended Eckerd College where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Comparative Literature. Upon finishing his undergraduate program, he became a Claims Representative assisting injured workers in their claims for Workers’ Compensation benefits. It was this early exposure to assisting disabled workers that inspired him to attend Touro Law School’ Evening Program in the hopes of becoming a lawyer.

He was active in various student programs which cumulated in serving as the Student Bar Association Evening Vice President during the third year of his law school tenure. He also had the privilege of serving many other organizations including the Disability Law Society and Phi Alpha Delta Law.

While enrolled he also received several academic awards including: The Cali Award for Academic Excellence in Trial Practice, The American Bar Association//Bloomberg BNA: Excellence in Health Law, & The Touro Law Center Recognition: Contribution to Student Life.

Upon becoming an attorney in 2017 he has had the opportunity to advocate for claimants before the Workers Compensation Board, and assist in the firm’s litigation before the New York State & Local Retirement System.
