Sharon Carlstedt Britton

Sharon Carlstedt Britton is a Partner at Alvarez, Thompson, & Smoak, P.A. Her practice is focused on litigation.Ms. Carlstedt Britton received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. in 1989, and her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992, graduating both with high honors. In law school, Ms. Carlstedt Britton was a member of the Juvenile Justice Clinic and the Law and Policy in International Business Law Journal.

Ms. Carlstedt Britton has been litigating complex matters for nearly 30 years, first in New York and then in Florida. She has successfully tried multiple cases and has represented a wide variety of clients in areas including general commercial, healthcare, insurance, contract, construction, intellectual property, and securities litigation.

Ms. Carlstedt Britton was born in New Jersey, and raised in Tampa, attending the Academy of the Holy Names High School. She has taught Business Law and Social Responsibility as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa and holds a Florida real estate license. Ms. Carlstedt Britton is also an abstract painter and a speaker
