I am the President and Partner of Simmons and Fletcher, P.C., a Houston personal injury law firm founded in 1979 by my late uncle, Robert S. Simmons.
I have been with the firm since 1986, beginning as a law clerk while I was still in college, and have practiced as an attorney with the firm continuously since my admission to the Texas Bar in 1991.
I purchased the firm at the end of 2020 with my partners, Christopher K. Fletcher and Paul H. Cannon, and have served as President since.
I lead the firm's pre-litigation department. My practice covers car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, slip and fall, dog bite, brain and head injuries, burn injuries, construction accidents, defective products and wrongful death claims throughout Houston, Katy, Cypress, Memorial, Sugar Land, and across Texas.
I was named to the Super Lawyers list by Thomson Reuters every year from 2023 through 2026. I was recognized as Living Magazine's Leading Women in 2021, named a Top Personal Injury Attorney by Lawyer's Monthly in 2022, named a Featured Member of Lawyers of Distinction in 2022, and named a Top Lawyer by H Texas Magazine every year from 2013 through 2019.
I hold a 10/10 rating on Avvo.
I earned my J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 and my B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 1988, where I graduated with Honors and Distinction.
I serve as a Deacon at Willow Meadows Baptist Church and have been involved in the children's ministry there since 2000. I am a member of the Christian Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Aggie Bar Association.
I have been a Girl Scout leader for 15 years.
I am available for media commentary on Texas personal injury law, insurance negotiation, premises liability, and the unique needs of women and families seeking legal representation after an injury.
