In addition, Ms. Stein has lectured to the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar, Family Law Section on various family law topics. Articles about her cutting edge cases have appeared on the front page of the New York Law Journal, for which she co-authored an article addressing special needs of children during divorce negotiations. She has been appointed by the Court as an attorney for the child and as a court examiner for custody litigation issues. In recognition of her litigation skills, she was invited to judge a moot court competition at Yale University.
Ms. Stein's professional memberships have included membership in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers; the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Matrimonial Law Sub-Committee; the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section; and the New York County Lawyers Association, where she served on the Legislation Sub-Committee, as well as on the Executive Committee.
For more than thirty years Ms. Stein has been advising and representing clients in all aspects of matrimonial law in both the trial and appellate levels. Prior to starting her own firm she had been a matrimonial partner at the prominent New York law firm, Squadron, Ellenoff & Plesent.
