Born in Hawaii, but raised in Texas, Sharon arrived in Oklahoma City in 1977 having worked in various administrative and secretarial positions with Phillips Petroleum Company and a private practice attorney. Prior to joining Van Meter Law Firm as a Legal Assistant in 2006, she spent many years raising her family on a 13-acre "mini-farm" in Oklahoma County.

Sharon and her husband, Mark, have been blessed with three children. She and her family are active members of Cornerstone Church in Midwest City where they are involved in children and youth ministries. In her spare time, she enjoys coaching volleyball, spending time with her family on Oklahoma lakes and making people laugh.
