Sheila resides in Lexington with her husband, son, and Golden Retriever. She is active in her son's school and recreational sports. She is also involved in her local church.She has served as a speaker and organizer of multiple CLE seminars on the topic of family law.

She is a past president of the Lexington County Bar as well as a member of the Family Section of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association. Mrs. Robinson also has been an adjunct instructor in paralegal studies.
