Shelby Russell

A U.S. Army veteran, Shelby Russell advocates for clients with the same resolve and discipline that defined her military career. At Callison Tighe in Columbia, South Carolina, she practices civil litigation, serious personal injury, and federal criminal defense.She earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. Shelby served multiple clerkships and fellowships as she worked toward her juris doctor. This included a Law Fellow at Yale Law School’s Veterans Legal Services Clinic, where she was part of a nationally recognized team that advocated for veterans and service members through large-scale class action litigation.Shelby also served a two-year clerkship with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, Special Prosecution Unit. In that role, she assisted with the prosecution of cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
