Biography

Shelley Elovitz heads the Workers’ Compensation/Social Security Department of Rothman Gordon. In practice for 45 years, he has counseled clients in such areas as workers’ compensation, social security disability, long-term disability, and wrongful discharge. He is often called upon to present on individuals’ rights in Workers’ Compensation cases and how to protect one’s right to recover Workers’ Compensation benefits. A leader in the field, Shelley has been recognized by his peers in The Best Lawyers In America® since 1995, is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell, and is named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Shelley received his B.S. and J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (Charter member of the Social Security Section and a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section) and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Shelley is also a member of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators, the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Western Pennsylvnia Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).
