Biography

Slocum Pickell, born in Stuttgart, Arkansas, graduated from Pine Bluff High School and earned his degrees from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and its law school. During law school, he served as president of the Student Bar Association, was a member of the Moot Court Board, and won the American Bar Association's Client Counseling competition. Admitted to practice in 1992, Slocum has since tried over 50 jury trials and hundreds of non-jury trials. His experience includes handling civil and divorce cases, negotiating significant settlements, and representing clients in arbitrations and mediations. He has also served as a special District Judge and Circuit Judge. His litigation work spans Arkansas District Courts, Circuit Courts, and the Arkansas Supreme Court.

In the community, Slocum has held various roles, including board memberships with the Little Rock Heights Neighborhood Association, the Arkansas Literacy Council, and the Southeast Arkansas Livestock Show and Rodeo. He has also been an Elder at Second Presbyterian Church and is currently involved with the Sigma Nu Fraternity Alumni Board.
