Sofya Davtyan

Attorney Sofya Davtyan joined my law firm in February of 2009. She is my shining star! Sofya is my second in command, my right hand. Her intelligence, compassion and attention to detail are unmatched. Together, we make a formidable team! Sofya heads up our Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 departments. Sofya is a certified bankruptcy law specialist, as determined by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Sofya has successfully confirmed more than 350 Chapter 13 Plans and won numerous lien strip motions and Adversary Proceedings for our clients. She has helped more than 1,000 Chapter 7 debtors get their discharge and discharged more than $100,000,000 in debts. Sofya was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 2, 2008. Sofya graduated from USC in 2002 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Law and Society. She received her J.D. with honors from Ventura College of Law. While in law school, Sofya interned at the Van Nuys District Attorney’s Office, working on murder and sexual assault cases. Prior to joining my law firm, Sofya worked at Donahoe & Young, preparing bankruptcy petitions and handling probate matters. Sofya is fluent in Russian and Armenian.
