Spencer M. Bondy

Spencer is a Super Lawyer dedicated to his clients and the rule of law. Spencer earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, completed the Trial Practice Institute (TPI) certification program, and served as a member of the elite College of Law’s American Bar Association Negotiation Competition Team. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. He is licensed to practice in all state courts in Michigan, and has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Spencer is currently a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and Livingston County Bar Association.

Following law school, Spencer's legal career began at a prominent municipal and insurance defense law firm in the Detroit metropolitan area. Spencer is grateful for his time at this firm, where he gained significant experience providing counsel on a variety of legal issues impacting local communities as well as litigating complex civil matters in state and federal courts throughout Michigan. These first years in practice provided Spencer with invaluable insight into the operation of local government, and in municipal and police liability. Spencer's experience also includes complex family and property litigation, including real estate and commercial transactions.

Due to Spencer's experience and education in criminal justice, and his desire to help those accused as "criminals," Spencer's practice now largely focusses on criminal defense in Michigan state and federal courts. He has significant experience handling complex criminal matters as well as the expungement of criminal offenses in most district and circuit courts throughout the lower and upper peninsula of Michigan. Spencer is most proud of his time at the prestigious criminal defense firm of Lewis & Dickstein, PLLC, where he remains Of Counsel to the firm. Prior to starting Bondy Law, PLLC, Spencer spent time in the trenches at Lewis & Dickstein, PLLC securing dismissals before trial, winning at trial, and obtaining favorable results on appeal. Spencer is grateful for his mentors, Randall M. Lewis & Loren Dickstein who have been integral to his growth as an attorney and counselor. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
