Stanley Arnaz Thompson

For over ten years, Stanley Thompson has built a reputation as a courtroom advocate who fights hard for his clients while never losing sight of the human stakes behind every case. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has represented people in hundreds of criminal matters, ranging from traffic and DUI cases to serious felony charges. His practice has included complex and sensitive allegations involving drugs, sex offenses, robbery, and homicide. Mr. Thompson’s foundation in criminal defense was shaped early in his career as an Assistant Public Defender. He first served in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and later continued his public defense work with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, advocating for individuals confronting some of the most serious charges in the system. Originally from Prince George’s County, Mr. Thompson earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. There, he competed on the Trial Team and distinguished himself in top advocacy competitions, including the NITA Tournament of Champions, and was awarded the Judge John D. Calhoun Award for Excellence in Trial Practice. He graduated with honors from Howard University.
