Stanley P. Walker graduated from Auburn University in 1992, where he majored in Political Science. He then moved to Virginia where he attended Washington and Lee School of Law, earning his J.D. in 1996. At Washington and Lee, Stanley joined Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, and he was a member of the 1996 National Mock Trial Team.
Stanley returned to Alabama starting his legal career with a small, general practice firm, and had the opportunity to serve as the city attorney for his hometown. In 2003, he opened his own law firm in Enterprise, Alabama, where he began practicing immigration law. During the summer of 2006, Stanley opened a branch office in Florida and has maintained an immigration practice in both Alabama and Florida since then, focusing on family based immigration and representing individuals in Immigration Court proceedings. Currently, he works in the main Fort Walton Beach, Florida office and directs the branch and satellite offices throughout northwest Florida and southeast Alabama while simultaneously serving as one of the Drug Court Attorneys for the Alabama 12th Judicial Circuit Drug/Drug Rehabilitation Courts.
Stanley has spoken to numerous civic groups and organizations about relevant immigration topics, frequently authored articles for publication in local papers, and organized the 2009 Info Expo which provided a variety of legal, medical, business and educational services and information for northwest Florida's immigrant and diverse population. He has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2006. During his time with AILA, Stanley has been a member of both the Central Florida and Georgia-Alabama regional Chapters. In 2013, he participated in the National Day of Action in Washington, D.C., meeting with congressional leaders to advocate for comprehensive immigration reform. He has served on the Georgia-Alabama Conference Committee and was a panel presenter on "Complex Issues in Family Based Immigration" at the First Annual Georgia-Alabama Conference. Stanley has served on the Central Florida Chapter DMV and Advocacy Committees and he is the Incoming Vice-Chair of Education for the Central Florida Chapter of AILA (2013-2015). Stanley currently resides in Mary Esther, Florida and New Brockton, Alabama.
