Biography

Steadman Shealy played quarterback for the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant at the University of Alabama and led the Alabama Crimson Tide to back-to-back National Championships for the 1978 and 1979 seasons. In 1979, Mr. Shealy was voted Most Valuable Player in the SEC, All SEC and Academic All SEC. Mr. Shealy continues to apply Coach Bryant’s winning philosophies in his personal and professional life.

Mr. Shealy was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama where he attended Dothan High School and played football. Mr. Shealy was the valedictorian of his graduating class. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Alabama on a football scholarship where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and graduated cum laude in 1980.

Mr. Shealy received his law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1984 where he was a member of the school’s National Trial Advocacy Team. While attending law school, he also worked as a graduate assistant coach for Paul “Bear” Bryant. Mr. Shealy was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1984.

Mr. Shealy has been presented with the prestigious Toastmasters International Communication and Leadership Award for public speaking and is highly sought after as a motivational speaker throughout the Southeast.

As a Founding Partner at the law firm of Shealy, Pike, & Hornsby, Mr. Shealy has over 36 years of experience litigating cases all over the State of Alabama. Utilizing state of the art technology, Mr. Shealy has tried numerous complex jury trials with winning results for his clients.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shealy has received adulations from both clients and peers to include the highest peer review rating of AV Preeminent through Martindale-Hubble for his high ethical standards and professional abilities.
