Stefan A. Mecke

I grew up in Tulsa. While attending Union High School I played football and worked part-time on evenings and weekends. During my undergraduate studies at Northeastern State University I was actively involved on campus and served as an officer in several organizations such as the Marketing Club and Student Senate. I worked for Fine Airport Parking in Tulsa during weekend, holiday, and summer breaks. After graduation, I was hired by a local, privately held company which was named United Video Satellite Group at the time. United Video eventually went public and later changed its name after acquiring TV Guide, Inc., a leading global media and technology company. TV Guide fostered an entrepreneurial environment and gave me opportunities to launch new business units internally and to work with external entities ranging from small sole proprietorships to major corporations. My positive corporate experiences fostered a strong commitment to further my understanding of legal issues impacting business. My desire to become more involved in helping local businesses and individuals succeed motivated me to enter law school on a part-time basis and attend classes year round during evenings and weekends.

During my final semesters of law school I gained practical legal experience by working for the Boesche Legal Clinic, participating as a judicial intern under the honorable Judge Gregory Frizzell, and ultimately serving as a law clerk for Barber & Bartz. I am a member of the Keystone Toastmasters Club in Tulsa and serve as a volunteer for the Union Cedar Ridge Elementary PTA Board and the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Libraries Board.

My wife Lori and I met while attending school at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. We are members of the parish family at Church of the Resurrection in Tulsa. We have two sons and enjoy spending our free time together as a family. We cherish our family time and enjoy calling Tulsa our home.
