Biography

Stephanie Lynn McCoy is a Partner in the firm's Orlando office. She focuses her practice in the areas of premises liability, products liability, nursing home, wrongful death and general liability defense. She also has experience handling commercial evictions, foreclosures and other real estate disputes.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. McCoy was a partner at a national law firm, representing large corporations in complex litigation matters; including defending a large multi-national retailer in high exposure products liability and premises liability cases.

Ms. McCoy attended Wright State University in Dayton, OH, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. McCoy received a Book Award in Civil Procedure I and earned an Honor's Certificate in the Children and Family Law Program. She also served as a Student Bar Association Senator and as a member of the Panel for Prospective Students.

Ms. McCoy volunteered at Orange County Legal Aid Society in the Guardian ad Litem Program as a Volunteer Advocate for Children. After graduation, she participated in Legal Aid's Valor Project, providing consultations to U.S. Military Veterans.
