Stephanie L. Royal is the
Founder and Managing Attorney of the Royal Legal Group, PLLC, which
also operates as the Royal Law Office and Royal Dispute Resolution
Services. With 25 years of experience practicing law for government
entities in Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and Maryland,
Stephanie decided to open her own law practice after being motivated
by divine inspiration.
As
a seasoned attorney and former judicial law clerk, Stephanie has a
wealth of experience. She has a strong track record of saving
consumers money by settling debts and addressing unscrupulous
business practices. Her practice areas include consumer protection,
business matters, estate planning, probate administration, and
probate litigation. Stephanie is known for her problem-solving
abilities and employs various approaches to achieve results, such as
meetings, negotiations, legal correspondence, and, as a last resort,
civil litigation.
Throughout
her career, Stephanie has been dedicated to helping people and
serving her community. As a teenager, she volunteered at a hospital
in Pittsburgh, PA. During her time as a Deputy Attorney General in
the Consumer Protection Section of the Pennsylvania Attorney
General's Office, she provided consumer education to various groups,
including senior citizens, students, and civic associations,
empowering them with knowledge about their consumer rights. Her
mantra from her Consumer Protection Days is "if it sounds too
good to be true, it probably is." Stephanie has actively served
her community in multiple roles, including as a board member of
Neighborhood Legal Services in Pittsburgh, PA, a volunteer mediator
for the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County, MD, and the
Rockville Office of Human Rights, and a volunteer boys' basketball
coach for Montgomery County, Maryland, for five years. She is also
involved in her church and has musical talents, playing the flute and
piano.
In
her current legal practice, based in the District of Columbia and
Maryland, Stephanie specializes in Consumer and Business Matters,
Estate Planning, and Probate Administration. She also handles
litigation in areas such as Consumer Protection, Breach of Contract,
Debt Collection Defense, and Probate matters. Stephanie acknowledges
that the legal profession is evolving, with many clients seeking
self-help solutions and value-driven services. To meet this demand,
she uses a virtual platform to communicate with clients and deliver
legal services, offering convenience, eco-friendliness, and
cost-effectiveness.
Stephanie's
dedication and expertise have earned her recognition as one of the
100 Top Black Lawyers in DC by the National Black Lawyers.
Additionally, she has received the Avvo Client's Choice Award every
year since 2015, accompanied by numerous 5-star reviews from
satisfied clients.
