Biography

Stephanie L. Serafin is a partner at Kreusler-Walsh Vargas & Serafin, P.A., located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ms. Serafin is Board Certified in Appellate Practice by The Florida Bar. Focusing primarily on appeals and litigation support, she handles matters in a wide range of areas, including personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, class actions, securities, probate and trust litigation and marital and family law cases.

Before attending law school, Ms. Serafin first obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida, where she graduated cum laude in 2004. She then went on to attend the University of Miami School of Law. While there, she served as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Law Review before graduating magna cum laude and a member of the Order of the Coif with her Juris Doctor in 2008.

Following law school, Ms. Serafin honed her research and writing skills while working as a law clerk for the Honorable Dorian K. Damoorgian with the Fourth District Court of Appeal from 2008 until 2010. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Ms. Serafin currently serves on the Appellate Court Rules Committee of The Florida Bar as Chair of the Civil Practice Subcommittee. She is a member of the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Contract and Business Cases. She has received awards for her pro bono work from both the Florida Supreme Court and the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County for the years 2010 and 2013. Dedicated to the furtherance of her profession, she is an active member of The Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, including its Appellate Practice Committee, which she chaired from 2014-2015, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court.
