Biography

STEPHEN B. FREW, a Shareholder with the Firm, focuses his practice on the defense and trial of civil litigation and handles a wide variety of cases, including wrongful death, product liability, construction personal injury, bus, truck and automobile liability, toxic tort, premises liability, commercial disputes, and tenders of defense and indemnity.

Steve has given numerous lectures and seminars on a variety of topics and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and The Society of Trial Lawyers. Steve is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Steve is an active competitor in Toastmasters International’s public speaking contests, and has advanced to the District level for Chicago and the surrounding areas. He enjoys playing basketball and golf, and speaks Mandarin Chinese at an intermediate level.

Steve is a graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School, Flossmoor, Illinois, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana (A.B.) and Case Western Reserve University Law School (J.D.), where he was Associate Editor of the Case Western Reserve University Law Review.
