Stephen Lee McClellan

Steve McClellan is a lifelong northeastern Oklahoman who grew up in Broken Arrow and has built his legal career around serving people in his home state. He attended the University of Oklahoma for both college and law school, graduating in 1994, and started practicing by representing injured workers in the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Court. Over the past three decades, Steve has handled civil injury and casualty cases in Oklahoma state and federal courts and has tried many cases to successful jury verdicts. His background includes work for injured workers as well as time on the defense side, where he represented trucking companies and insurance carriers in catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. He has also worked on construction defect and product liability cases, giving him a well-rounded understanding of complex litigation. Because he has seen how defense teams operate, Steve brings practical insight into the strategies and common issues that can shape a case. Most recently, he returned to representing injured Oklahomans and played a major role in obtaining one of the most significant defamation jury verdicts in Oklahoma since the OCPA was enacted, a law meant to stop defamation cases before they gain traction. Steve is licensed in all Oklahoma state jurisdictions and in the federal district courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma. Outside of work, Steve enjoys life with Debbie, his high school sweetheart and wife of more than 40 years. They have three sons, four grandsons, and two granddaughters, and he spends his downtime traveling or floating the Illinois River in pursuit of smallmouth bass.
