Stephen R. Piper

Prior to starting The Law Office of Stephen R. Piper, LLC, Stephen R. Piper was an Assistant Prosecutor in the Camden County Prosecutor's Office in Camden, New Jersey.

Mr. Piper served on the Camden County Prosecutor’s Adult Trial Team. There, he investigated, researched, and negotiated hundreds of cases. In addition, Mr. Piper gained valuable trial experience and tried dozens of cases in front of both Superior Court Judges and juries. It is this extensive trial and criminal law experience that is so important when evaluating a domestic violence case and the validity of a Temporary Restraining Order.

Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Orders are decided on a very short time schedule so in-depth criminal experience is essential to get the right result. Stephen R. Piper has that experience.

From his experience in the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Piper received trial experience that few family law attorneys have. This experience allows his clients to know what a trial on their divorce and custody issues could really mean and what outcomes are realistic.

Mr. Piper has handled thousands of divorces and family law matters. He is a former member of the Family Law Inn of Court and is a member of New Jersey Bar Association Family Law Section.

Stephen R. Piper is a combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as a pilot in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He retired from military service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 2013.
