Biography

Stephen McCloskey focuses his practice on international taxation matters. Prior to joining Aballi Milne Kalil, Stephen was an international tax manager at one of the Big Four accounting firms in Miami where he advised large multinational enterprises on a variety of cross-border transactions and global reorganizations. While at the accounting firm, Stephen also gained experience advising small to mid-size foreign closely held businesses on inbound investment to the United States.

Stephen is born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate degree. Stephen graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2012 before moving to Washington, D.C. where he earned his LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center with a focus on international taxation. While in school in D.C., Stephen gained work experience through an externship in the tax department of an AM 100 law firm.

Stephen is a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar, the Greater Miami Tax Institute, and is licensed to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia.
