Biography

Stephen W. Butler (“Steve”) has been in private practice in Rogers, Arkansas since 1990 and is currently senior partner in the transactional sections for Miller, Butler, Schneider, Pawlik & Rozzell, PLLC. He primarily concentrates his practice to areas of corporate and small business transactions, including governance, business acquisitions and selling opportunities, succession planning, as well as estate and gift planning, taxation law, tax planning, tax preparation, and tax litigation.

Steve received a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas in 1987, earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1988, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas in 1990. Steve was admitted to the Arkansas bar in 1990, the United States Tax Court in 1990, and the Missouri bar in 2010. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association Probate and Trust Section, the Arkansas Bar Association Taxation Section, and the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants.

Steve is also active in the community, as both a frequent speaker for various organizations on estate, charitable, business, and tax planning matters, as well as having served as President of Open Avenues Legacy Foundation Board of Directors, (formerly the Adult Development Center), as President of the Rogers Razorback Club, as a member of Rogers Noon Rotary, as a member of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation Professional Advisory Council, as a member of Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation Advisory Council, and as vice-chairman of the Northwest Arkansas Estate Planning Council Board of Directors.

As a long standing citizen of Arkansas and graduate of the University of Arkansas, Steve enjoys cheering on the Razorbacks. Steve is a member of Cross Church and loves to spend his free time traveling and attending sporting events with his wife and children.
