Steven Harold Haney

Steven H. Haney is an aggressive litigator and successful trial attorney. He is an AV rated lawyer by his peers, opposing attorneys and judges. He was selected by the LA Times as one of the Top Attorneys in Southern California, and has repeatedly been named as a Super Lawyer for his legal achievements.

Mr. Haney began his career by devoting four (4) years to his country with the United States Air Force. He then attended California State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Political Science (emphasis in International Relations) and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Philosophy. As a Political Science major, he won the Earl Warren Prize as the Number One ranked government student with a perfect 4.0 GPA in his major.

Mr. Haney then attended and graduated law school at the University of California of Davis. During his time at Davis, Haney externed for the Honorable Frances Newell Carr, California Court of Appeals, Third District. Among other awards and accolades, he won the 1985 Neumiller Cup for prevailing in the school wide Moot Court competition.

Mr. Haney has previously served as a litigation partner at such prestigious firms as Baker McKenzie and Andrews & Kurth. He was mentored by Orville "Jack" Armstrong, a renowned trial lawyer, two time President of the California State Bar and former Justice at the California Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in California (1985), all districts of the United States Federal Courts in California, the California Court of Appeals, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Court of Claims. Haney now has over 80 jury trials under his belt, with a win rate on civil jury trials of over 90%, and he has never lost a criminal case. In his 35 years of practicing law, Haney has attracted numerous high profile clients from around the globe. In the last five years, Haney has won jury trials in which the jury returned verdicts in the amounts of $2,250,000, $5,600,000 and $1,400,000 respectively.
