Biography

Steve, Sr. has broad experience in general litigation and counseling of clients in a variety of areas. He has been involved in litigation matters representing banks and financial institutions, as well as individuals, insurance companies, and a variety of business entities. He practices in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, business litigation, banking, real estate, estate planning, commercial litigation, criminal defense, construction litigation and workers’ compensation.

Steve, Sr. has served as the managing partner of the firm since January 1, 1986.

Steve, Sr. has served on numerous charitable boards, including extensive pro bono work for the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, where he serves as General Counsel and sits on the Executive Board of Directors. He has also been active in the business and social community of Washington, Missouri, where he has served as President and sat on the Board of Directors of numerous organizations.

In 2010, Steve, Sr. was named as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), which is a trial lawyer honorary society comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. In 2012, he was certified as a Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, of which fewer than 1% of the U.S. lawyers are members.
