Biography

Steve Spencer is a highly skilled litigator with a remarkable career spanning over three decades, during which he has handled cases not only in California but also in multiple other states. Steve's experience as a trial attorney is exemplified by his impressive track record, having conducted well over 100 jury trials.

Throughout his extensive career, Steve has handled cases involving wrongful death and serious injuries, including brain damage, severe scarring, disc herniation, limb loss, and other life-altering losses. His cases have covered a wide spectrum, from products liability to premises liability (such as slip and fall incidents and assault and battery) to motor vehicle accidents.

In the 1990s, Steve served as a partner in a defense firm retained by insurance companies and prominent corporate entities, including restaurants, grocery stores, and machinery companies. Prior to his association with Carpenter & Zuckerman, Steve was a partner and the lead trial attorney in a highly respected plaintiff practice based in Santa Monica.

Steve earned his degree from Rutgers University and graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law. He holds the esteemed status of a Diplomate-level member in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA membership is an exclusive honor, extended by invitation only, and encompasses top plaintiff and defense attorneys.
