Subodh Chandra

As the managing partner of Chandra Law, Subodh Chandra offers a multifaceted legal perspective rarely found in a single attorney. His background as a federal prosecutor earned him FBI commendations for tackling healthcare fraud, while his tenure as Cleveland’s Law Director saw him managing an eighty-two-lawyer department and even serving as acting mayor. Subodh is a Yale Law alumnus who has dedicated his career to bending the moral arc toward justice. He has led nationally recognized litigation, from the Tamir Rice police-shooting case to defending the Haitian community against misconduct by political figures. His experience also includes high-profile media defense, such as helping protect "Hard Copy" against libel charges. Recognized as the 2022 Lawyer of the Year in Civil Rights, Chandra’s work is so significant it has inspired documentaries and plays. He remains a passionate advocate for systemic change, having authored voter-approved charter amendments to increase police oversight.
