Biography

As a member of the Health Care Department, Susan focuses her practice on defending clients against health care and long-term care liability claims. She also represents clients in product liability and premises liability matters. With more than 25 years of legal experience, Susan has successfully litigated matters in both state and federal courts, handling cases through trial and appellate levels.

Susan has spoken on topics of interest and changes in law relevant to hospitals and nursing homes. She has also served as a guest speaker at the University of Pittsburgh and Carlow University, presenting on legal topics to students in healthcare-related classes.

Susan graduated from Gannon University with a bachelor’s of science in nursing. She then attended Duquesne University School of Law while working full-time as a registered nurse in cardiology and intermediate care units. Susan continues to maintain her RN license.

Outside of the office, Susan volunteers for a local high school theater program and, through her church, prepares and serves meals for a community homeless shelter.
