Biography

Suzanne graduated from Florida State University, summa cum laude, in 1995 with a B.S. in political science. While studying at Florida State, she also worked full-time at the software development firm PC DOCS, INC. Suzanne developed her interest in law and technology during her time at PC DOCS.

Suzanne attended Boston University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 1998. While attending B.U., she was a member of the Boston University Journal of Science and Technology Law, serving as the Journal’s Technical Editor during her third year of law school. Her note, The Year 2000 - Delight or Disaster: Vendor Liability and the Year 2000 Bug in Computer Software was published by the Journal in September 1998 (4 B.U. J. SCI. & TECH. L. 8).

Upon graduation, Suzanne worked for a large firm in Boston focusing on business and intellectual property transactions. After moving back to Florida and joining a large Tampa firm, Suzanne changed the focus of her practice to business and intellectual property litigation, where she represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business matters, technology and intellectual property disputes in both state and federal court. Upon joining Hines Norman Hines, Suzanne has expanded her litigation practice to include trust and estate disputes. Suzanne is a co-author of Losing Your Case After Winning: The Pitfalls for Defendants of Voluntary Dismissal Under the Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Trial Advoc. Q., Summer 2006 at 22.

Suzanne is admitted to practice in the state courts of both Florida and Massachusetts as well as federal trial and appellate courts including the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Middle District of Florida, Southern District of Florida, Northern District of Florida and the District of Massachusetts.

Outside of work, Suzanne is passionate about the arts, particularly dance, and she was on the Board of Directors of Florida Dance Theatre from 2011-2015. Suzanne has also been involved with the Boy Scouts of America since 2008, where over the years she has served in various volunteer leader positions including Den Leader, Committee Chair and Merit Badge Counselor.
