In 2006, Syed transitioned to the Michigan Department of The Attorney General, serving as a Senior Attorney within the prestigious Major Crimes Bureau. Here, he grappled with intricate Criminal cases, spanning from Cold Murder Cases to prosecuting violent gangs in Detroit and handling complex Racketeering (RICO) cases. Notably, during his tenure with the Attorney General's Office, Syed participated in a special task force alongside Federal Prosecutors and Federal Law Enforcement agencies, focusing on prosecuting Environmental Law violators and specializing in high-value, intricate White Collar and Financial Crimes cases.
