Biography

Sylvia Petereit-Kemter is a Local Partner in the Public Law Group in Germany. She focuses on advising healthcare providers as well as private equity and strategic investors in the areas of health care, regulatory and compliance.

Sylvia Petereit-Kemter has many years of experience in advising medical care centers, medical practices, hospitals, nursing homes as well as national and international investors on the regulatory implementation of transactions, restructurings and cooperation projects in the health care sector. She has particular experience in the areas of contract physician and hospital law, private and statutory health insurance law and compliance. She also focuses on the representation of service providers in official and court proceedings, in particular in licensing, social and administrative law as well as in fee and recourse disputes.

In the life sciences sector, Sylvia Petereit-Kemter advises pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and other companies in the health care industry, in particular on drafting contracts relating to research, development and manufacturing as well as on compliance issues.

Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Sylvia Petereit-Kemter worked for over thirteen years at McDermott as a lawyer in the Health Care and Life Science department. During secondments, she worked in the legal department of Bayer as well as for an international ambulatory health care company.
