Tamara Shari Benefield

Tamara Shari Benefield is a seasoned family law litigator with more than 15 years of experience guiding clients through complex, high-stakes cases. She handles high-asset divorces, contested custody disputes, and a wide range of family law matters, including child support and spousal support hearings. Her practice also extends to challenging interstate and international child abduction cases where fast, strategic action is critical. Known for her sharp courtroom presence, Ms. Benefield is an effective cross-examiner and a confident trial attorney who understands evidence rules inside and out. She knows when to object, how to frame arguments, and how to keep cases focused on what matters most. In addition to her litigation work, she previously served as a professor at West Los Angeles College of Law, teaching Civil Procedure to help law students prepare for the California Bar Exam. A Loyola Law School Public Interest Scholar, she has earned recognition including the National Bar Association’s Top 40 Under 40 (2017) and selection as an Elite Advocate by the American Institute of Legal Advocates.
