Tanner Duncan

Tanner Duncan is a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati. In 2019 he received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Faith, diligence, honesty and adaptability are just a few of the values that drive him to do better every day. In 2019, he began his law career as a plaintiff personal injury and criminal defense attorney in Warren County, Ohio. He shifted gears across the river and obtained his Kentucky law license, where he continued personal injury and criminal defense work. With the desire to be in the courtroom as much as possible, he was on the search for the right fit for him to switch to a full-time criminal law practice. He has been practicing nothing but criminal defense since 2021 and recently joined the powerhouse law firm Rittgers Rittgers & Nakajima, expanding their criminal defense practice into Kentucky.

“Whenever you find yourself on the side of majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” A famous quote by Mark Twain that Tanner considers one of his all-time favorites. At the end of a workday, success to him is walking into court prepared and with confidence. He likes to know his clients on a personal level so that he can make the best possible arguments on their behalf. One of the things he loves about working for the firm is the high level of professionalism, emphasis on attention to detail and the exceptional staff that supports him. Tanner has served clients charged in both Ohio and Kentucky. From DUIs to felonies, there is no case too big or too small for Tanner to tackle.

Tanner values family time. His nieces and nephews would consider him their favorite uncle. He’s also always up for trying something new. Hiking, snowboarding, kayaking, boating – you name it, Tanner will give it a go. He is a huge sports fan from the Reds to the Bengals and Bearcats.
