Biography

Tanya Milhomme-Simmons is Of Counsel in the firm's Fort Lauderdale West office. She practices in the area of workers' compensation defense.

She received her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University College of Law. Prior to going to law school, Mrs. Milhomme-Simmons graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

Prior to joining Cole Scott & Kissane, Mrs. Milhomme-Simmons owned her own firm where she focused on representing creole-speaking injured workers.

Mrs. Milhomme-Simmons served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Charleston, SC, Aerial Port Squadron. She is a board member of Women of Health Occupations Promoting Education (H.O.P.E) whose vision is to develop programs that promote health education and inspire minority communities to take charge of their health. Mrs. Milhomme-Simmons is also the Ambassador with Hair Peace & Hope 5k, a non-profit bringing awareness to Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and autoimmune diseases that result in hair loss.
