Biography

Tara Shaikh has been a licensed attorney in Texas since 2012, following her graduation cum laude from South Texas College of Law. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, where she tried numerous cases and counseled hundreds of victims. Afterward, she transitioned to a role as general counsel for a commercial real estate company, gaining valuable experience in real estate and asset management. However, Tara missed the personal connection with clients and the ability to make a direct impact in their lives. In 2020, she found a natural fit in estate planning, probate, and guardianship law, where she could combine her skills in counseling and business management to help families navigate loss and create tailored estate plans. Tara joined Barnes Lipscomb & Stewart PLLC in July 2022 and focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, trust administration, and guardianship.
