Biography

Taylon is an Attorney-at-Law with Wampler & Passanise Law Office. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Sumners completed her Juris Doctor at the Washburn University School of Law with Dean’s Honors. She scored in the 90th percentile on the Missouri Bar exam and was sworn in October 2020. While at Washburn, Sumners was the President and Founding Member of the Criminal Law Society and Outreach Coordinator for the Women’s Legal Forum. She also volunteered teaching inmates at the Nebraska Correctional Center while attaining her Bachelor’s Degree. Sumners has been with the firm for six years, working as a Legal Assistant for Wampler & Passanise Law Office while attending school. Sumners grew up in Aurora, Missouri, where her family owns and operates a vending company. She is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
