Biography

Taylor A. Williams received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee, graduating with honors. He received his law degree from The University of Tennessee College of Law in 2009, graduating with high honors.

While in law school, he was a staff member of TRANSACTIONS: THE TENNESSEE JOURNAL OF BUSINESS LAW, in which his case commentary “Requirements for Pleading ‘Strong Inference’ of Scienter in a Private Action Under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Tellabs, Inc. v. Makor Issues & Rights, Ltd., 127 S. Ct. 2499 (2007)” was published. He also received the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Medal of Excellence in Bankruptcy in recognition of his course work.

Taylor currently serves as general counsel to the Knoxville Opera Company and has been a frequent contributor to DICTA, the Knoxville Bar Association’s monthly publication.

Taylor resides in Knoxville with his wife Erin.
