Biography

Ted Laperouse is general counsel and serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association. He is the Immediate Past President of the South Central Louisiana Chapter of the Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA) and participates on the Steering Committee for Division 9 of the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on the Construction Industry. Ted also contributes to the Technology and Membership Committees of the ABA Forum. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including the prestigious Construction SuperConference, where he has addressed key issues in construction law. Additionally, Ted regularly presents for various trade associations and professional organizations. Before founding Laperouse Patin, LLC in 2018, Ted was a partner at Taylor Porter Brooks & Phillips in Baton Rouge for 14 years. He also previously practiced with an "Am Law 200" firm in Dallas, Texas.

Ted’s professional memberships include the Louisiana State Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Baton Rouge Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, and the ABA’s Forum on the Construction Industry. He was named among the Lawyers of Distinction in 2023.
