Teresa K. Bowman, Esq., is the founder of Teresa K. Bowman
P.A., and a highly respected attorney in the field of elder law. After a
successful 15-year career as an elementary school teacher, Teresa earned her
law degree from Stetson College of Law in 2005, concentrating in elder law.
Since 2006, she has dedicated her practice exclusively to this area, achieving
certification from the National Elder Law Foundation as a Certified Elder Law
Attorney in 2021. Teresa is recognized as an AV Preeminent attorney by her
peers and has been consistently selected by Sarasota Magazine as a top attorney
in elder law. In addition to her legal practice, Teresa serves the community as
a frequent speaker on topics such as Medicaid, long-term care planning, and
estate planning. She actively contributes to the profession as co-chair of the
Public Benefits Committee of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar and
participates in other key bar committees. Teresa is VA Accredited and maintains
active memberships in leading legal organizations, including the National
Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Sarasota County Bar Association, and Manatee
County Bar Association.
