Biography

Admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1975, Tom is an accomplished trial attorney who has been lead counsel in thousands of injury litigation lawsuits in both state and federal courts. As senior counsel at the Blaska Holm law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, Tom’s decades of experience has helped him effectively negotiate and litigate cases on behalf of his clients.

In his early career, Tom helped capture the first multi-million-dollar verdict in Georgia – see Smith v. Se. Stages, Inc., 479 F. Supp. 593 (N.D. Ga. 1977). Since then, he has obtained numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.

Early Years

Tom grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. In 1971, he earned his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Notre Dame. Tom moved to Georgia in 1972, where he earned his J.D. from Atlanta Law School. He began his law career at a prominent litigation firm in downtown Atlanta. In 1987, he started his own law firm specializing in personal injury litigation. Tom has been in private practice for his entire career.

Outside of WorkWhen Tom isn’t in the office or courtroom, he enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, golfing, and rooting on the Irish, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Green Bay Packers. Tom is also involved at St. Jude Catholic Church and for the past eight years has served as president of the Serra Club, an organization that supports priests and parishioners.
