Thomas F. Coates, III

Tom Coates is a co-founder of Coates, Battle & Tyree and has been a driving force in the Richmond legal community since 1974. He started his career as a U.S. Army lawyer and then spent years as a prosecutor in Richmond, where he handled thousands of cases and over 50 felony jury trials. That kind of experience is what makes him such a powerhouse for his clients today. Over the decades, Tom has expanded his practice to include everything from high-stakes divorce and family law to massive corporate mergers and acquisitions.
