Biography

Thomas F. Maher is a Senior Trial Attorney at the firm. He graduated with honors (cum laude) from Villanova University in 1988. In 1991, Mr. Maher obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law. While at Fordham, he was a staff member of The Fordham International Law Journal. Following graduation, Mr. Maher clerked for the Hon. James H. Dowden, Superior Court, New Jersey. In 1996, he accepted a position with a large, multi-national insurance carrier to work exclusively in their toxic tort department. The focus of Mr. Maher’s work related primarily to claims involving long term exposure to asbestos, silica, latex gloves and noise induced hearing loss. In 2000, he joined the firm as an associate. Since that time Mr. Maher has represented clients in general negligence, construction accident, construction defect and environmental exposure claims. In defending such claims, he has been able to obtain successful results for the firm’s clients at trial, on appeal, and by way of motions for summary judgment. Mr. Maher is admitted to practice in the State of New York, District of Columbia and both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is also presently a member of the New York State Bar Association.
