Biography

Mr. Cotter represents individuals in the areas of plaintiff's personal injury, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, wrongful death, trial practice, and civil appeals (Arizona Court of Appeals, Arizona Supreme Court, 9th Cir., US Supreme Court). In addition, he handles other aspects of civil litigation where his background and aptitude for science apply (including computer-related litigation).

Mr. Cotter has led many cases that have resulted in seven-figure verdicts or settlements. He is rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbell and has been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the area of personal injury litigation. He is a sustaining member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association and has served on its Board of Directors.

Mr. Cotter holds degrees from Michigan State University and the University of Arizona College of Law. He was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1983 and joined the firm that year.
