Thomas J. Finn

THOMAS J. FINN, a Shareholder with the Firm, previously served as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney where he prepared and tried over 250 bench trials and 45 jury trials. Since joining the Firm, Tom has tried jury cases in State and Federal Courts in Illinois, Michigan, Kansas, Kentucky and Indiana. He focuses his practice on first-party property matters, (fraud, arson, coverage) as well as subrogation cases. He also handles casualty, general liability and product liability cases. He has given numerous presentations to insurance companies and industry-related groups. Tom has been a member of the Council on Litigation Management, the Illinois Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, and the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators.

Tom is a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Southern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana, the Southern District of Indiana and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Tom is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago (B.A.) and John Marshall Law School (J.D.).
