Thomas M. Rickart

Thomas M. Rickart is a Connecticut attorney who was admitted to practice in 1981. He specializes in commercial transactions involving real estate and businesses. Tom has extensive experience representing and advising lenders and borrowers in commercial, asset-based, and mortgage loan transactions, as well as in loan workout situations. He has been involved in all aspects of real estate development, commencing with acquisitions, including contract negotiation, due diligence, financing, and the formation of corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships. He regularly represents developers, from the permitting and approval process through the development process, including formation of condominiums and other common interest ownership communities. Tom also represents clients in all aspects of environmental law related to land use, conveyances, and financing. Finally, he assists clients with the management and/or sale of projects, preparing and negotiating contracts, leases and every type of commercial loan documentation.
