Thomas R Mendez Walser, Esq.

Thomas is a south Florida native, who was born in Boca Raton, FL. He obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Finance from the University of Miami in 2010, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the New York University School of Law in 2013, with a concentration in the area of Trust & Estates. Thomas passed the bar exam in Florida, New York, and New Jersey.

In his career, Thomas previously worked in the wealth strategy department of US Trust: Bank of America’s Private Wealth Management subsidiary. In this role, he gained experience meeting the financial and estate planning needs of ultra-high net-worth clients. Thomas’ work experiences include interning for the White House Council on Environmental Quality under the Obama Administration in 2009 and interning for the British Council: UK mission to the United Nations. Thomas was also Executive Director of a non-profit organization called Students in the Know, which ran the Bullying Academy program. The Bullying Academy was among many small business and non-profit organizations that were nominated in recognition for their leadership, integrity and management skills in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Outside of his work in non-profit organizations, Thomas has an extensive history working in law and finance. In Boca Raton, he gained managerial experience from working as a Program Director for the Environmental Coalition of Miami & the Beaches (ECOMB Inc.). It was here that Thomas utilized his background in finance to research target markets and created information packets for respective sponsors. Since 2015, Thomas has been working as an attorney in the field of estate planning and probate law, assisting in estate planning strategies for clients and creating complex estate planning documents. Currently, Thomas’ sole focus is probate administration in Florida. He has handled hundreds of probate administration cases throughout the state of Florida and is well-respected for handling a number of highly complex probate administration matters.

Thomas has a passion for helping people and is an active volunteer with Legal Aid Service of Broward County’s “No Place Like Home” program. He takes pride in being able to offer his legal assistance to underserved populations and has volunteered hundreds of hours through this program.

When he is not working, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and working out.
